You have seen the Gucci Double G belt everywhere. I feel like anytime I open my Instagram I see at least 10 of them in different colors and sizes. While I would love to drop $400 on a belt, that sadly is not in my budget so I found the next best thing.
This Amazon find was a good one. I am so sad that this belt is currently unavailable but I am sure that they will bring it back soon. It is genuine leather and great quality for being under $20. It also has almost 350 reviews with an average of 4 stars.
I highly recommend getting this belt as soon as it comes back in stock. It is such a great cheap alternative to the real trendy thing.

This past weekend started off right with dinner at a new restaurant for me, White Pie. A co worker of mine was raving about it and told me I had to check it out. It is located in the uptown neighborhood. G and I went on Friday evening and the weather was perfect so we go to sit outside on their patio. We got there around 6:30pm and there were still plenty of tables and were sat right away without a reservation. The vibe is also super casual. Most people were in jeans an t shirt and some were even in workout clothes from biking over there.
We started off with a house white wine for me and a Negroni for G as well as their house salad that fed 2-3 people. The white wine was pretty bland without much flavor, however I think that was needed to pair with all the amazing flavors of the food. G said his cocktail was great. The salad was huge! The both o us could hardly finish it and we are not light eaters so it is more than enough for 2 people.
We also got the lasagna which they are known for as well as the Paulie Walnuts pizza. I wish I had taken a photo of each, however I was too hungry and everything looked too good that I completely forgot to. The lasagna is what everyone said to get and it was homemade with about 10 layers. It was good, however I don’t think it was the best I have ever had. The pizza had mashed potatoes, bacon and candied walnuts and OMG it was amazing. If you end up going I would highly recommend getting the pizza. G and I can’t wait to go back soon and try another pizza.
Mother’s Day is right around the corner on Sunday, May 13th and I thought that I would put together some fun ideas for gifts. Heads up mom you may or may not see one of these items on your door step.
- La Mer Moisturizing Cream – This stuff is supposed to be amazing and at the price point it better be! I thought this would be a fun gift to pamper mom with.
- Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan – I love Barefoot dreams, their stuff is so soft. This piece would be great for mom year round and there are tons of colors to choose from.
- Joe Malone Cologne – You can’t go wrong with anything Joe Malone. My favorite scents are Red Roses and Wood Sage and Sea Salt. This stuff is good and lasts all day.
- Yeti Cup – Great for any mom on the go. The classic cup in a fun color would be perfect and an added bonus would be combining it with a gift card to her favorite coffee shop.
- Slip Pillow Case – Such a fun gift to give mom to make sure she stays pampered even in her sleep. This will keep her wrinkle and bed head free. A splurge for a pillow case but worth it for mom. This is what G got his mom.
- Kendra Scott Earrings – Would be great for a mom that likes fun jewelry. G’s mom is always wearing different and fun jewelry so I thought this would also be a fun gift. This would not be great for my mom since I know she wears higher end pieces and not much costume jewelry so definitely know your mom for something like this.
I hope this helps to make your shopping a little easier this weekend.
True life, I hate paying more than $60 for running shoes! I wear them almost everyday for walking the dog, running errands, yard work and of course working out, but I just hate paying so much for them. They really take a beating and I need to buy new ones pretty frequently.
This is why 6pm has been such a lifesaver! I can order shoes for literally so cheap!
I was running a race a while ago and noticed that my knees and shins were starting to hurt, so I figured I would bite the bullet and finally get expensive running shoes. I went to Boulder Running Company and they helped me out so much by getting me proper fitting running shoes. $120 later I was running my heart out and feeling great.
Then about 6 months later I needed new running shoes again and went to 6pm. I found those same $120 running shoes for a fraction of the price. I scooped them up quick and a second pair as well. I highly recommend checking out 6pm for athletic shoes next time you need a new pair.
Fri-Yay! So glad that we made it to the weekend! My phone died this week and the weather is going to be horrid but my sister comes in today and we have game night with our friends so I feel like it will even out to be a good week.
I have styled these Spanx leggings on a previous post but I keep reaching for them so I figured I would share them again but styled a little differently. They really are magic leggings and I find that they go with everything.
I paired them with a band t-shirt today and my jean jacket (got mine at Nordstrom Rack awhile ago but want this one). I have about three good band t-shirts and I highly recommend getting yourself one if you don’t have a collection already. They are so casual and cool. They had a few really cute ones at Lucky when I went to the store the other day that were on sale.
I wore this while we were grabbing breakfast and running our Sunday errands and it was the perfect amount of comfortable while still looking put together.
Moral of the story is get yourself some Spanx leggings and a band t-shirt ASAP!

Quick, get online at the Loft and order this dress! It is perfect for spring with the long sleeves and light weight fabric. I love the button details in the front with the tie around the waist and ruffle details at the shoulder. This dress is perfect for our crisp spring weather here in Colorado. I can see myself wearing this well into the summer and fall with these great transitional colors.
The best part of this dress is that it is only around $45 (with all sizes still available) and fits true to size.

This past weekend G and I checked out the free Saturday at the Denver Art Museum. It was so cool to be able to experience this museum for free over the weekend. They have a free day every first Saturday of the month. It is free to view all of the exhibits except for the exhibitions which currently is Degas ($24 extra) We decided to get there about an hour before it closed and it was still pretty busy.
They have a couple of really cool collections right now including Drawn to Glamour with several fashion illustrations and clothing displays. They also have Stampede where they showcase animals in art which was really cool as well.
I highly recommend checking out the first free Saturday at the art museum if you have the chance.
